The way to exchange Dutch Guilder banknotes
From the 17th century until 2002, the official currency for the Netherlands was the Dutch Guilder (NLG). From 1814 to 1838 guilder banknotes were in circulation and were minted by the Netherlands bank. The banknotes were in denominations of 25, 40, 60, 80, 100, 200, 300 and 1000. However, in 1911 the minted NLG notes in circulation were 10, 25, 40, 60, 100, 200, 300, and 1000 guilders. In the 1920s the Netherlands Bank minted 20 and 50 guilder notes and the 500 guilder note in 1930 was issued. After 2002 when the Euro became the official currency, the guilder became a subunit currency.
