Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is working in partnership with Cash4Coins to collect old currency, foreign coins and banknotes to raise funds for lifesaving air ambulance and critical care car missions.

Most of us have old British or Irish coins lying around as well as unused foreign coins and notes from trips abroad and holidays. Instead of this currency going to waste sitting idle in a ‘change jar’ or at the back of a drawer, collecting dust, you can now donate it and help the vital work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity by making lifesaving missions possible for the pre-hospital emergency service.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is not part of the NHS and solely relies on the generous donations from the public and local businesses for its daily missions. Each year it costs around £12 million to maintain the three aircraft and the provision of a lifesaving service. Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,950. Each critical care car mission costs £288 on average. Since 1991 the charity has responded to more than 72,000 missions. 1. You can drop them off at most high street banks and building societies across the regions shown in the map below.
